Overview of GCSE/IGCSE/A Level Exams

We are an authorised and approved private exam centre in the UK, allowing private candidates to sit their GCSE or A Level exams for the first time or as a retake. The GCSE/ A Level exam series take place during November, January and June. We take exams for five different exam boards which are OCR, EDEXCEL, WJEC and AQA.

Please note that we do not do any course work/controlled assessment and practical exams at our centre but written exams only. If you wish to retake an exam then your previous course work/practical can be carried forward to your final grade.

Private Exams

THE SIGN-UP PROCESS

GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level Exams

Exam entries

  1. Apply online  OR Come into our centre with proof of photo ID and passport sized photograph.
  2. Collect an application form from the reception desk.
  3. Excel will then validate and authorise your application.
  4. Once the payment has been made, we will register you through the exam board of your choice and each candidate is sent their statement of entry via email.
  5. Please be aware that late entry fees are applied after the first deadline (see fees and deadline page for further details).

On the day of your exam

  1. Candidates must arrive at the centre 30 minutes before the start of the exam.
  2. Candidates must bring their statement of entries and photo ID with them.

Results day and collection of certificates

  1. Results will be emailed out to candidates
  2. Any candidates wanting to have their papers remarked must contact the centre within 5 days.
  3. Certificates are made available around three months after results day and candidates will be informed about what to do closer to the time.
